Soy is the most exciting and talked about food of our generation.  Soy is a popular, inexpensive, protein derived totally from a plant source; the soybean.  It can be incorporated into any diet in hundreds of delicious ways.  Today millions of Americans are eating various soy products in the form of tofu, tempeh, or soy milk and loving it.  These people include soy in their diets for various reasons: to lower cholesterol, to prevent coronary heart disease, lactose intolerance, and most recently to control symptoms of menopause and perimenopause. According to recent research from the Bowmen Grey Medical School in North Carolina soy can help reduce hotflashes. Other exciting research about soy, and it's components isoflavones, reveal that soy may prevent breast, colon, and prostate cancer.

Here at HotFlash! we are tremendously interested and excited about Mother Nature's amazing bean; the soybean. HotFlash! has established an extensive recipe library to make soy easy to prepare and enjoy for everyone.  My recipe library contains main entrees, smoothies, and even tofu desserts!  I will be creating new recipes featuring soy and soy products.  There are many terrific recipes already available for you and outstanding cookbooks, so please take a look around.

If you have a  favorite soy recipe or a question about soy please feel free to send them to me. And now come into my kitchen for an adventure into the Joy of Soy.
